#Proverboftheday – 7/30/16

the locusts have no king, yet all of them march in rank;
Proverbs 30 ESV

I have spent the last three months posting a Proverb every day after posing a challenge of reading a chapter of Proverbs each day of the month. Well, while I have by no means attained all the wisdom of Solomon, I will be moving my FOCUS to another book of the Bible.

Beginning tomorrow I will start on Psalms and go through it while posting a thought each day. Sometimes it will be a chapter a day that is read, but often I think it will be more of a verse study. I’m looking forward to the time and the opportunity to share it with those of you following along.

The book of Psalms is a song book, and it contains a wide range of lyrics that speak to our hearts of the highs and lows of our lives. Just as our music today brings out our emotions and helps us relate our actions and attitudes with those around us, Psalms help us see our emotions in the raw before God. Our lives are a song to Him. What is your life song singing today?

See you tomorrow in Psalm 1 for #lyricforliving

I'm a follower of Christ, husband, and father. Over the last few years I have been learning how to dig deeper into God's Word and letting it influence more of my life. As I learn, try, fail, and repeat in this process I am seeing God's hand more and more in my life and that of my family as well. This journey is long, hard, and at times a little lonely, but living a Relentless life for Christ has rewards that reach beyond me and my family. My prayer is that it brings God glory and leaves a legacy that will show His influence in my life.
